MDID Debate Team Wins Championship at the Peach State Classic!

We are excited to celebrate the outstanding success of the Mingdao International Department Debate Club at the 2025 Peach State Classic Tournament, held online this past weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Two MDID teams took the initiative to compete against experienced debaters from across the United States, demonstrating remarkable courage, discipline, and global engagement. Despite the challenging time difference, our students debated late into the night—from Friday evening through Sunday morning—showing true dedication to their craft.

Tournament Champions: Yuzu (G9) & Ellie (G9)

Among 16 competitive teams, Yuzu and Ellie advanced through the elimination rounds, winning both the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, and ultimately securing the CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

Strong Performances from Both Teams

Julia (G10) & Chloe (G9) opened the tournament with back-to-back wins, gaining valuable experience against high-level opponents.
Yuzu & Ellie fought through tough early rounds and powered through the bracket to victory.
