Welcome to the registration platform of the 2025 Flag Football Christmas Game at MDID! We are elated to see you here and more than glad for you to sign up for our activity!
Whether you're a curious newcomer or a passionate athlete, there's a fun experience waiting for you this Christmas. In 2025, MDID is celebrating Christmas with sports events that can enlighten the high school sports momentum, cultural experience, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
You might know American football as a contact sport with tackling and all that. It’s fun and beloved although it associates with potential risks and safety concerns. This is why Flag Football is the sport for you to enjoy the same fun in American football.
In this non-contact variant of American football, teams will have to escort the ball to the end zone in order to score what is called the “touchdown”. Each touchdown earns 6 points, and there is a chance for either extra 1 points or 2 points. Unlike American football, there is no field goal kick. Extra points are scored by passing, and what yards (either 5 yard or 10 yard) decide if the team is going for 1 or 2 points.
As for defense, the defensive players will need to pull off the offensive players’ flag on their waist to result in dead ball. This can prevent the offense from scoring or even help the defense to force a ball's transition or turnover.

📆 Championship Game Date: Dec 12th, 2025 (After school)
⏰ Registration Deadline: Oct 31, 2025, 11:59 PM
This matchup is between two teams; team A vs. team B. Let's say if A defeated B in the wildcard game (12/10) after school, team A gets to advanced while team B is eliminated. Team A, in this case, gets to play the Teachers' team (12/12) after school to win the championship game.
In the near future, MDID students will attend colleges where lots of people cheer for their football team. It's a chance for you to start here with us and become the pioneer of sports, and it's going to be in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. We relate to concerns of trying something new without experience or certainty. However, we encourage that risk-taker ability and curiosity shown by you. This is a unforgettable chapter of your entertaining high school journey, and your participation is why we are doing all of these.
